About Jake

Jake Chasan has always enjoyed capturing imagery through film, printing, and web design. He made his first short movie at the age of eight and designed his first website at age nine. Jake got his first break in business from Judy Skelton, the president of his homeowners association. She offered him the printing and production of the neighborhood newsletter, as well as the design and maintenance of the Barber Tract Neighborhood Association website. From this volunteer web design position, Jake was able to show case his talents as a web designer and began a website business, his first customer was actress and artist Salli Sachse. Jake has created and maintains over 26 websites for satisfied customers.

Jakes website business pulled him into new directions when he realized his clients were not making the most of their computers. He began tutoring his clients and maintaining their computers, which has allowed him to stay current with the developments of the rapidly moving technology industry. Jake has recently begun producing Apps for the iTunes App Store and the Android Market and currently has three Apps available for purchase, a social network app, The Office TV show trivia quiz, and an entertainment game, Pranxter.

Jake's hobbies include music, glass art, and film. He is skilled in Final Cut Pro 7 and X. His first film, Lego City, required complete set design, scripting, filming and editing. Jake continued to express himself in film with a with a documentary about the Panama Canal. During this same year he also produced a wedding video and several montages. Currently Jake is expressing his love for filmography by producing videos for his website clients and working on a documentary, n an nstnt. The documentary aims to educate students on the hazards of texting and driving. 

Jake's passion for music has allowed him to write and create his own pieces for his apps that he has developed, as well as the music of n an nstntHe is currently a Level 7 student with the Music Teachers Association of California. He recently spent his summer perfecting such skills at the Interlochen School for Performing Arts.


Jake remains committed to his community through the Boy Scouts of America, and has recently completed his Eagle Scout Project. He also volunteers actively in several areas around his local community, including the San Diego Model Rail Road Museum and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He has obtained enough service hours to receive the Presidential Service Hour Award since the age of twelve.
